Do batteries from some place like Dollar General or the Dollar Tree give the same performance as duracels and other akalines out there?

I buy a 24/pk of Energizer Max and my LHS for $11 bux w/no membership required... So yeah, I did beat that =) That's a good deal though... I actually stopped buying alkalines and bought some NiMh rechargables... I have more $ for gas AND better battery life now!

Put the money to better use and get some 1200mAh AA NiMHs.

I emailed duracell and asked them the mah of there batteries to compare how long rechargables would last vs duracell. They wouldnt give me numbers because they said mah isn't an efficient way to rate capacity or something. But I don't care about acurracy to the hundreths so... about what would a 1200 mah rechargable AA last to duracell? What would you give a duracell battery in mah roughly?

I use rayovac alkaline rechargables, but they are only about 360 mah. Better than that I use the sanyo 750 mah nicads. I'm going to get 1800 or 2000 mah NIMH from BYD for $1.00 a cell or $1.89 a cell. thats the best deal out there. The most capacity Ive seen however is 2150 in nimh. and 2850 mah in alkalines.
