Savage or T-maxx. I have the savage and i really like my truck. Solid and well built. T-maxx -- it's reputation speaks for itself.
Whatever you choose -- have fun, that's what counts.

How can you recommend a truck that hasen't even been released, much lest tested, on the basis of speed and reliability.
Reliability usually requires a history of trouble free operation. How can an unreleased product have a history? Speed usually requires at least a little bit of testing by the public. HPI *says* the truck should run xx MPH, but that's not worth a whole lot.
The original poster also wanted a RTR truck, not a kit.
On the basis of speed and reliability, I would say look into a T-Maxx (fast) or a Savage (reliable). With your $600 budget though, either truck could become equally fast and reliable.

Without a doubt its the Kyosho Mad Force. Its a complete blast. Nice Engine, 3 speed chain drive tranny. even wheelie bars right out of the box! I have a Savage, one brother has a 3.0 Tmaxx and the other has the Mad Force, it a load of fun.

I don't think they make a 3.0 Tmaxx, where did you get it. I only know about the new 2.5 maxx.

According to RCCA Monster Trucks 8 truck nito comparo... the T-Maxx was fastest at 45 MPH. The Savage ran 31 MPH. The Mad Force mentioned earlier ran 43 MPH.
A 3.0cc engine would be a .18... Sirio makes a .18 replacement for the 2.5 Maxx. No Maxx comes with a 3.0 out of the box.

Yup, it is a Sirio equipped Tmaxx. If you expect the maxx to do 45 out of the box you should also expect the second coming of the lord as well, I dont care what the magazine says.

Since it's pretty much the same as the RTR. The only difference in performance would be the pipe and engine, everything else are little fixes ..
As for RTR, Bashing - Savage, Light Racing - T-Maxx, Hardcore Racing - Dominator.

Why would you get soemthing thats fast over something thats realiable? I would go with a savage RTR they have extra dog bones and the extra's are better than stock. Then I would throw in a picco .26 engine now its REALLY fast and realiable and you can still be under $600.00 Dollars.:p
