I got word this morning that my sister is having problems with her lungs and has been moved to the intensive care unit. She is comfortable right now and is on a lot of sedatives. I need all of you to stand with me and my family in prayer that this all works out. Can I count on you guys for that?

My sis is back in the ICU. Her new chest X-ray came back and it didnt look promising. They have her wearing an oxygen mask, too. I need you guys to ramp up the prayer at this point

Hey guys, Johns Hopkins just got an open bed in their ICU, and she is headed up there tonite. My mom is already on her way up there to meet her up there. she wont be headed up for a few hours, but to any of yall that are in the Baltimore area, it would be nice if you could pay her a visit in there. She's at teh Johns Hopkins University Medical Center ICU. If anyone asks just say your a friend of her brother, BJ.

She is in surgery. Her lungs were getting a lot of stress so they put her on a breathing machine so she could get some much needed rest. Now this DOES NOT mean that she is dying. Just keep on praying for her

She left Johns Hopkins, and is now back in the hospital at home. She will likely stay there until she goes to Kansas for her procedure. Once this is all over and done with, she is going to have to go through physical therapy because she has been in bed for so long.

Ok, I talked to my mom today and she will be heading out to Kansas City next Tuesday or Wednesday. She is going to get a gastric pacemaker put in to help with her stomach problems. Pray for wisdom for the doctors, traveling mercies for my mom, dad, and sister, and continued prayer for her health. Also pray for my parents because this is going to be a very hectic week when my sister leaves. My dad will only be there for a couple of days because he has to go home and help my two other sisters move into their rooms in Savannah Georgia (My oldest sister will have an apartment down there, my younger sister will be on campus). Pray for good health for my dad and plenty of rest and relaxation before, during and after moving them to school

my friend who was in a car wreck had to have a chest tube. after he got it out ( thank god he had a full recovery) he said he would rather have been kicked in the balls 25 times rather than having the chest tube:eek: :( :( :( :(

To everyone that has been praying, thanks. Becky is going into surgery tomorrow for the installation of a gastric pacemaker. The insurance company gave their agreement to cover the full cost of the procedure last week. In fact in an email I received last week, the people that approved covering the procedure, chastised the people who had rejected it on the two prior appeals. She is at the Kansas University Medical Center in Lawrence Kansas. To any of yall that are in that area you can visit her, and let her know that you have been praying for her.

Why does your sister need a gastric pacemaker? Is your sister diabetic? I just ask because I knew someone who had to get one because the diabetes slowed their stomach down.

Anyhow, I hope all goes well. I've been praying for your family since the start of the post and it was good to hear she got better a little while ago. Hope she keeps getting better.

Yes she is diabetic space doc. She has been dealing with intermittent episodes of gastroparesis that send her in and out of the hospital. And thanks for the continued prayers everybody

Sorry I havent updated recently. From what my mom told me earlier, this week she was discharged on Wednesday, and they will stay out there until after Isabel passes on the East Coast. She is doing infinitely better with the gastric pacemaker. No nausea or vomiting. I will be glad to see her next time I go home
