I have a JR Xr3 radio with the R135 receiver, and when my savage is idling the radio function without any problem, when the engine reeves up the radio starts to glitch, I took the truck apart, all the wires are in good shape, the battery level is good, I check the crystal and it is ok. What else can cause it to glitch?
I did notice the clutch bell does not spin very smoothly, can a bad bearing cause the radio to glitch?
Can anyone help or suggest on what else to check?

Check and see if there is anything loose on the savage, check everything including the throttle linkages, vibration causes glitching.

The most frequent cause if that kind of glitch in my experience has been a cracked crystal. Now, I don't know the crystal's cracked because it's inside the metal case, but I know when I put in another set the problem goes away. See if you can get someone to swap with you for a minute to test it out. The metal prongs get shock and fracture the crystal at the base.

The other thing, and this is in left field but I swear I wouldn't suggest it if I hadn't seen it work: Take the crystal out of the TX, turn it over, and put it back in. Doesn't work? Do the same with the RX. I saw a guy at the track once, he couldn't get 3 feet (it was electric) without it turning and going full bore into the wall. A guy walks over, doesn't even turn the radio off, flops the crystal, hands the remote back to him, and off he goes on his way. In about three minutes I picked my jaw off the track and went to the pits in amazement.
