Hey everyone. You know how when you see the specs on steering servos (and maybe all other, I dunno) it says so and so troque at 4.8 and 6.0 volts? What's the difference, and how do you get one or the other. 6 is always stronger, so I'd like to have that, but how? Thx

Do you have an nitro or electric? Nitro you need to have a 6 volt rechargeable battery that is rated at 6 volts. And if it is electric check the specs on your esc about the bec, because most escs have a 5 volt bec. Hope this helps

I've got an electric, running the EVX on my Maxx. I haven't checked the voltage yet, but if it isn't 6, is there a way to make it that way?

Ok then. There is a way. You have to buy a seperate 6 volt receiver battery and maybe a switch and plug it up to the battery in your receiver. Your servo and shifter servo will now receive the 6 volts but you have to find a place to put that extra battery.

Almost all ESCs these days put out 5.6v - 6.0v of solid BEC voltage. Using a seperate receiver pack won't give you a noticeable difference. As soon as a load is applied to the seperate pack, the voltage will drop and will put out about the same voltage as the BEC does.
