The reigning champion in the British Touring Car Championship is James Thompson with his impressive Vauxhall Astra Coupe. PROTOform has now replicated this body style for the 1/10th scale RC racer. This realistic body is available in both 190mm as well as 200mm widths to cover electric as well as nitro cars. As usual, the bodies come with protective paint-then-peel lexan as well as decals, window masks, wing hardware and unique bolt-on wing struts. These struts can be trimmed to optimize rear wing height, to best suit track conditions. With its sleek silhouette, this body looks fast just sitting on the starting grid!
Features:
· Light durable .030 lexan with protective film
· Perfect fit and proportions for 190mm and 200mm touring car chassis
· Includes decal sheet, window mask, add-on wing with adjustable molded wing struts and mounting hardware.
Vauxhall Astra BTCC 190mm Part #1463-00 $26.00

I ran the body on a large technical track last week and was very impressed compared to the old style Accord and Stratus. It tends to "push" a bit more down the straight. I like it.

I have the DTM-one and it has much more rear-traction than Stratus and Vectra. The downside is that it's not legal becoz the real car has a 4 litre motor in DTM and it's legal with a car with a 2 litre motor maximum like ETCC and BTCC.
And the new one looks a DTM with different wheelwells. i have already ordered one :D

For you non British readers, BTCC stands for 'British Touring Car Championship' and all the motors are 2 litre, so the shell will be legal, shame about the stretched look (the HPI version looks more realistic) but the same could be said of the Vectra (cannot comment on the Stratos or 300M as the real cars are not available here).

Yeah, it's tough to look at the Protoform version and the HPI version and be told they are the same car. Protoform has had a lot of bodies not be approved for IFMAR racing because they didn't look enough like the real cars.
