CraigH,
Come on out to Rosewood RC Speedway, we race every Sat. and have really good turn out in Stock touring, Nitro touring and Spec. Touring. Check out our thread

Hey cheerwiner, would you be interested in helping my setup my new nitro? I can't really get it to run right, and you live near me. I know you work at hungates, and actually today, my dad got some gas for me there. I called there looking for someone who had a savage, and they said you were out. Your the only one in the area. Or, is anyone else live in raleigh? (Pref cary, or close to lake wheeler?). We could meet somewhere and run our cars...I got now a Duratrax Axis, Tamiya Ta03f, Losi XX4, Losi XXt, Losi XX, and a nice stampede. LMK- Zack

You are right, it looks good, but I am a little sad that durham is down. I wish i could run it. i don't have the time.
I do want to race though. Is there any way bricklin that you could send me the web links for some of the NC and VA locations?? Danville isn't too far for me. I live about 5 miles from the VA border between Stovall and Bullock. (ironically, I have an Oxford address).
Thanks

Hey you all! Just got few with some major work responsibilities and looking for a place to race! I have 2 and 4wd tourers, gas and electric, a T-3 Truck and a modified Stampede. I'm just looking for a place to have some fun. competitive racing and hang out with some R/C gearheads. What's my best bet? I liked the crowd at Durham, but it doesn't look like that track's gonna be open this year...pity!! If you all know where the crowd from Durham (Jairo, Mark, Todd, Ron) ended up racing, let me know...I'd sure like to bang fenders with those guys again!

Hey all. I've given up on serious racing, just costs too much. But on a lighter side - those local to Raleigh, Cary, Apex etc.. I'd love to get together on occasion for some informal parking lot racing. I'm only sporting a Tamiya TT01 and sport 3000packs and stock motors. Anyone up for low budget racing???

I'd like to, and I know another member here would like to. If you'd like to set up a date before july 5th (going to new york) and a location, I'd show. If not before then, around mid-july. I'm a nitro guy, but its all good ;).

Voodoo-
I'll see if I have some free time before then. If not, I'll let you know, but stay in contact through this forum. After your vacation we'll definately have to hook up. Of course your nitro will smoke me, but it will be fun anyway.

VooDoo -
Doesn't look like I'll be able to hook up before the fourth. Will you be running in Durham on July 11th? If so I'll try and catch up with you.

we went to durham today for a few tanks. man does it need alot of work. the racing surface is ok but the barriers are in serious need of work. i went because i could hold a few races there with don and brad's permission. i have a amb lap counter/computer/ autoscore myself but the track is in worse shape than i thought. it would take a few work days to get it back in runable condition. where is the drivers stand? it's gone. contact: bricklin2004@yahoo.com if you get some organization going. i don't hang out here much i'm on techtalk and s grid. see ya bill mciver
the information on stokesdale is on the triad off road 2004 thread on www.teamtrinity.com and click on techtalk and where to race.

Bill, I appreciate you going by today to check on things. In all fairness I must say that the track is in the shape you can expect from being dorment for a year now. As most people who raced there know, our drivers stand was destroyed after the nationals last year in a terrible storm. We now use what was the drivers stand from Chapel Hill and beleive it or not, it works quite well, especially since the onroad track was downsized. The onroad racing surface is in nice shape considering and only needs some sweeping and maybe a washing in the one corner where there has been some runoff from the offroad "track". Chris Cash and myself were out there just the other day and put some laps on his mod powered car and the track was almost perfect with little prep work. It was plently sticky and very capable of holding a race on. Now the offroad track, well, lets face it, its never been used except for a little practice. I'll be there several times before our first meet pulling things together. She'll be ready come the 11th for some serious laps. ;) Almost forgot, the barriers. Hey, they work. And trust me, they are forgiving which is more than I can say for some tracks. Have faith people. Later.

Brad,
Just went to mindblown and saw that you are planning more race dates besides the 11th. I I'm very excited about this and glad you are doing it. With all the excitement I'm seeing on this board, its almost surprising that the track ever stopped running. I hope that all can come out on these race days, and show there support for this track. If we don't, we will not have any place to race...

Dirt Oval is about the only thing that is not raced here. At least not in the triangle. Then again that may change now that Tony Stewert has moved Custom Works to NC. In the Triangle area there are multiple outdoor pavement tracks, dirt tracks, and indoor carpet. Running Carpet oval, 1/12th,touring(nitro and electric), micro, Mini T, Carisma, Spec, Offroad of all types, Paved oval, and I am sure there are a couple of other things I missed. Dirt Oval and motorcycles are about the only things I haven't heard of being ran around here, though those are subject to change at a moments notice.
