Hi all it has been about 3 years since I had my last boats, I had an enforcer boat from warehouse hobbies and a dumas tunnel hull. I liked the ease of use of the enforcer with the homelite engine and am leaning that way. I see the shockwave abs boat and want your feedback. I belive that pro boat makes this kit.
Is this a good durable kit?
Can it handle some air time and ruff water?
Is the zenowah engine better that the homelite?
I will mainly be using this boat for playin on the local lakes and I might race but it is very unlikely as I am not aware of any ponds or areas near me that do this. Your help is apprecaited.

Yes! It's a good boat for the money. Note that it doe's not have a clutch and the drive system is subsurface drive. It moves so slow when it's idling and idles so good that it doe's not stall. So when launching you can place it in the water instead of tossing it like most clutchless boats require. It is also very fast for a RTR gas boat.

Ahh my dream boat, the shockwave.
When/if you get it can you tell me how much you got it for?

Shockwave a dream boat? Dig up some of the older postings on this boat and it's more like a nighmare! The fiberglass hull is very thin, not good for wave jumping. Lots of driveline problems.
The Zen is much better than the Homie. Homie's are out of production so Warehouse Hobbies is switching over to the Zen's.

Dan, long time no see Bud! I'm still kickin' barely and Eric is getting big, he's 16 now and about 300 lbs. I haven't been out there to watch a race in a while.
We run them anywhere we can, usually at Verberg Park on Paterson St. by the River in that pond. Rex and Lee invited us to come over to their houses on Long Lake to run sometime. They just took one of those new 1/8th scale Miss Bud's out of inventory to play with. Give me a call sometime, I'm in the phone book under Ronald and Brenda Olson. Did you get a boat? If not, we'll have to meet up and I'll throw a TX in your hands!

I am new to the hobby and have 2 shockwaves for racing but now it's so I can keep one running. I am having nightmares keeping the engines running. I also have a Bonzai Fountain 54 that I think is a much better boat.
The Shockwave is a thrill to drive when it's running and you have to be on your toes at top end, it get's very squirrelly. If anyone would like to run one I live on a 35 Acre private lake and would welcome any help sorting these things out I am also willing to make it worth someone’s time $$$.
I am outside of Lansing , MI.

Which way outside of Lansing? I'm in Kalamazoo! Sorry, I don't mess with Gas boats much or else I'd make the drive up there.
Dan, I didn't heard from you or the other Dan yesterday. Eric and I went out running anyway with 3 of our fleet.

I know where one of them is at for sale. A guy in Mattawan has one that sat in my basement for a while that he wants to unload. He bought it off eBay, repainted it in WMU colors with Bronco decals. I can get it for you at a decent price. It is pretty much RTR with a Futaba radio and extra parts.
