Hey guys,

I would like to get into boats.

I need a boat that is...

1. Fast (40-50mph)
2. can take some waves. (like the kind at BIG lakes, or if a real boat goes by, those kinda waves, nothing big)
3. won't break alot.
4. Has to be nitro
5. Somewere in the $400.00-$450.00 range. (thats with everything. gas batts and all I need)

I have never had an RC boat or driven an RC boat before. But my dad has a vee hull boat and I have driven that. (so I know how it turns and all.)

Thanks guys!

hi. well as far as i know of, if your looking for a brand new nitro boat that meets all of your requirements listed, you're probably out of luck. your budget limits you to the smaller .12 to .18 (possibly a cheap .21 size) ready-to-run setups. they probably won't do 40 to 50 mph, and they could have trouble with the rough water and boat wake stuff because they are relatively small.

if you need the full setup, including the radio, boat and hardware, motor, pipe, and support equipment, your best bet getting a second hand one. maybe ebay?

speed=$$$ lol, i did a little math and i estimate that for every mile per hour over 35 mph you want to go faster, you can add about $30 per mph to the price new for a complete setup. speed is the lure... cost is the deterent :D

plus 40-50 mph is very fast for aboat think about it half the real boats on the water dont do 50 without being in the no no zone on the rpms, i say go with a cheaper rtr boat and upgrade later and keep savin $$ besides a hot .21 motor can be a pian to tune for a newbie
