Boat update

Whats Up Guys - I've been Hella Busy lately had friends in town for a car show and all.

well ok now to the boat update. I'm leaving tomorrow on vacation and taking it with me to run. I'll bring a camera.

Bad News - Painter still hasn't touched it - D$#%#^&# the painter calls me last night to bring it over. LOL of all nights I worked 3 hours overtime and wouldn't have time to get it painted and together before my vacation - uggggg

So it's still white. I started putting it together last night and will finish tonight I'm dieing to play so much I figured it'll still float being white. LOL

once I get back I'll break it back apart and have the dude spray it.

But I'll make sure my girlfriend takes some pictures for you guys.

ps. I should have access to a scanner at her dads work so If I can I'll post pics while still on vacation. unless the roll doesn't get full.

ok heres the update.

Today is the Day.

Worked hard on the boat yesterday and got it all finished. All I need is to do is add Fuel and charge the battery. woohoo.

I found a really cool pool noodle to cut and fit as extra weight and floatation in the bow. It's Orange (of course) and rated for 300lb's it was twice the thickness of a regular pool noodle.

anyways Hopefully I'll get some decent pics. Right now it's 10am and foggy. :( It better clear up cause today is happy boat day.

That painter must owe you a favor. Yeah, thats what it is. Has to be because anytime folks need you do to something, they want it done now.... But whe YOU need the favor returned... 'oh, umm, wait, shize, gotta pee,' etc...

Be careful with the engine on break in. Leave the Gps at the house unless you want to do some hiking.;) But it will be nice if you can get some shots of it in the water. This painter excuse is about used up.:p

Here's one of mine today. Went to another hole in Deutchland and tried to run. The lake has signs posted all around that its dangerous to swim because of the bacteria levels, but you can't keep folks out of it. Hell, as soon as I stick my head in, my sinuses would be sreamin'.

Got sidetracked. Well, couldn't get no real speed because as soon as no one was in the water, I'd fire up and it was like a damn magnet. Then folks wanted to play and I'd shut her down. Though they were about 150 meters away, its still dangerous. No gps #s with the new props, no dialing in the pipe, drove 40 minutes and hauled the crap almost 10 mintues from the car just to run 5. But that pipe sounds good. lol

Ya' gotta remember that my boat isn't as nice as you guys so I'm having to make due with what I can. Someday.

Didn't mean to ramble. Have a good vacation bud and get some time with the boat.

I got the boat all done and posted I was going to run it. I went downstairs put the battery on charge - and next thing I knew it was thundering and lightning like crazy. I went back upstairs and b!tched about the weather. Whats even sadder was my girlfriend was totally willing to go to the lake with me she said i don't care if you wanna spend all day playing with the boat. I mean how cool was that. Oh well now I have to run it this week because it's done and ready to go all charged & lubed just add gas and vrrrrrrroooooooooooommmmmmmmm.

now the hard part is figuring out where to go run it. LOL

GPS, go to ebay and pick up a Garmin Etrex or something small. I got mine used for $70. Love it. Though its features are mainly for hiking, I don't care.

You should've seen the bathtub size hole I ran mine in the first time. Got up on plane, backed out tried to turn and ran up on the bank and flipped. Learned real quick how to field strip it.:rolleyes:

you can get those on ebay too.:)
depending on what type of video card you have now, you don't really want to downgrade, but if you have a puter that is over a year old then you can get a video card for around $30 on ebay the has video capture built in.
ie: ati 64meg with video in and out. does it all. Hook the puter to the tv and/or the vcr or cam corder to the puter. A program is usually included to record the video from any source.

don't change video card then, should be a nice card in it, good for playin battle field 1942. almost simulates r/c vehicles. lots of fun:D

just go for the usb or pci video capture card only then.

was talking to Pam today DD and told her that Tony helped out a guy in Germany and she remembers you!

The deal is though that because it would have cost you around $300 he helped you out, but since it will only, (sure, only) cost me around $150 by UPS to get it to canada I may not get much help. So Pam says...

Having problems converting mpegs to wmv's like i do for LN, but they are in avi format so the program converts them fine. Havent had any success converting any of my personal mpegs yet:(

I've had one problem with WHH. A while back when I ordered some parts that were in bad need to get me running. They held back the order for almost two weeks because one part (that really wasn't that big a deal to me) was not in stock.

Before ordering my boat, I requested the size of the box they use for shipping, then went to the US Postal Service website and looked it up. Shipping w/insurance was around $80.

Fortunatly the box was within the spec's, so the only thing they had to do was box it up 'like normal' and make a trip to the post office instead of being lazy and let the UPS man come by.

Yeah and plus they knocked a 100 off the price up front so it put me back at 'less' the orriginal price. For that, and the price of the hulls, I'll toss a plug anytime.
