I wanted to know if anyone has or knows if it is possible to adapt a turbine engine to a watercraft/boat?

I have seen a pic of a turbin on a boat, on one of these sites, I can't remember where. Read that it took a while for the engine to spool up.

i saw one for sale on ebay a year or so ago. the guy posted a video of it running. looked really neat, sounded really neat, but was slow as a dog. maybe 20 mph if that and of course expensive. i think it was his setup. wrong thrust angle or something like that. i'm sure it could be done, but you would probably have to design a hull for it to work well. maybe like an airboat more than a v bottom, something that will air out.

you are talking about using it to push air, not water right?
the full size turbine hydros use chinook helicopter turbine engines to turn water props. if that could be done in an rc boat, it would be amazing, but probably impractical, if not impossible.

I am talking about one that pushes water through a propeller?

model turbines are pretty complex, but they are jet turbines, not shaft turbines. a turbine driven transmission would be needed. not an easy feat i would say.

hey guys
there are true scale turbine boat engines available....yet ,there is a guy here at our local flying field that flys a jet there....the last time I talked to him he said the jet cost him around $3000 and another $1000 just for the equipment to start the engine...(starter,compressor,ect)...I have glanced at a few links on Rum runner Racings board that have talked about them in boats...mostly in the UK and europe, but I dont know about you but I get nervous about possibly sinking a 300 dollar boat...how much fun would it be to worry about losing 3 grand the entire time your running

Anything is possible
Really wouldn't want to see it as with cloning of humans but its possible.
