for the money a OS 21, not that fast, but not a lot slower than the others. The CMB and the Rossi and the Mac are very good engines, these engine are fast with power. depends on what you want and how much you want to spend.

inboards? the mac .21 is considered by many to be the fastest, with novarossi and cmb a very close second

as haljmac said, the os line is good quality as well. but not as much speed

tower hobies has the os on sale now for $114.00. Tidewater engr.& Mach. co. had the CMB for $270.00, but I think the price has gone up. The Mac and Rossi around $325.00, may be few dollars more, not sure. OPS 21 supermarine is $325.00 and the 21 side exhaust is $180.00 at Aeromarine & Laminates. 21 Megatech marine engine $213.00.
I have seen buggy engines installed in boats also, but I would imagine you would give it a lot cooling air.
If you are planning to get the engine cut on to get more power go with the Mac, CMB or the Rossi.
If you want to have a good time, buy the engine that is in your bugget, set it up with the right prop. fuel, pipe lenght, degree in the strut and have a good time.
The more HP and preformance you get from the engine the harder it is to set the needles to where they need to be to get the HP and RPM's.
