Just looked at my latest Tower Talk to answer your question.

In order:

Speed- I'd say you could expect to see the 30's with it providing water conditions allow. Possibly high 30's with either engine (.40/.46 no real difference but bigger is better in my book:D )

Prop- 10x6. DO NOT BUY WOOD ! Master Airscrew are great, APC's are better. Buy several of them at least three or four extras. They're cheap and if you only buy one and bust it, lose it or whatever........ then that $2 part has cost you a lot of down time . Maybe even try a 10x7. But you can't go wrong with a 10x6.

Fuel- Use Sport Fuel in the 5-15% range. I'd run the 15% and let it go.

Glow plugs- Buy several ie... 3 or 4. Same as the props. Sometimes they last forever, sometimes they last one run.

You'll need:
Electric starter
Glow driver

Pick up a couple feet of fuel line just to be sure. But if the kit says it comes with all but 'this and that', keep extra of 'this and that' on hand. In this hobby, little stuff breaks all the time and will cost you a week or so to get it back up and running. Buy the extras now just in case.

I'm quoting the ad here: "ARR version requires engine, radio and prop. Both require glow starter, engine starter, ...."

Buy the stuff I said and you'll be safe.

I have the 46 on mine. Its an older model (plastic hull). no good. splits all around the seem and not along the seem across it all the way around the boat.

Anyway.... 46 TTpro is my first choice because my experience with both was like this: the 46 has an easy needle adjustment compared to the 40 with the airbleed screw that i could never figure out and didn't have the understanding to do so. the hell with it, I bought the 46 and problem solved. Idles so nice too, just hummmms at idle not roaring like the 40.

Thats a nice boat.

My friend and i bought one. At first we ran it with a 46 blue and it went bout 30, lots of fun. then later we got a 46 os max form one of his planes and now it goes bout forty. It ran great for a long time and with the occasional flip when you corner at full speed.

We just put new hardware on back of it with two turn fins and its amazing now.

It easy to run and start. put silicon caulk on the inside of the canopy to make it completely water proof.
