"mademoiselle"
Just purchased this kit by Dare design & engineering Co. Has anyone ever built this kit?
I am brand new to slow flyers. Would you mind firing away some suggestions for glue and covering materials. The instructions recomend litespan or Airspan for covering, what do you think?
Wing span: 37.75
Length: 29"
Area: 329 sq. in.
weight 7.3 oz
Wing Loading 3.2 oz/sq. ft.

Wow! That plane is a beauty! About the covering. I have used trhem both Airspan is lighter, than lite span, however airspan shrinks a bit better. With a wingspan that large you don't need to worry so much about a gram or so savings on the covering material. Both coverings have nice antique colors. -off white and a kind of off tan color. One of them comes folded into a small squar package and the other is kind rolled on a piece of card board. The one rolled on card board is a bit easier to work with and has no creases in it when removed from the packing. make sure you get yourself some "Stix it" or "Balsa lock" to put it on with. Follow the instructions for the model and I am sure you cant go wrong with the simplicity of that great looking plane!
Let us all know how it goes!

I appreciate all the info on the covering material. Im deffinatley going with your advice and sticking with the easier of the two. It should be up and flying by the end of this week. This is my first backyard flyer and I have to admit I am now beyond addiction. Im glad my local hobby store doesnt carry these kits or aftermarket accesories. My bank account would be in the red.
