So here it is. It only took me 9 months to get around to it.

I was going for the carbon look with the 2 shades of green. But as the close-up shows, it didn't work that well because it was hard to keep the material flat on the contourse, etc which made the lines blurry and indestinct. The picture looks better than the actual car. ;) The other side has a solid green panel instead. The carbon hardly shows at all irl.

I know there are some rough edges and minor paint chips (the nut and screw in the wing made a nice scratch before I could blink). Otherwise, for a first time job I can live with it and even race it in public I think. :D

It was all done with blue masking tape and pactra cans.

Thanks guys.

I have to say I learned a hell of a lot. And what I knew going into it came from this forum.

Someone suggested using a sanding drum on the dremel for cleaning/shaping the edges. Great advice. With a little practice I think I will get it a lot cleaner next time. It's easy to over do it and get a wavy curve or wavy line.

I think I will do whatever it takes to use an airbrush for my next body whenever that happens. Not just for the detail, but I have a feeling the application will go much smoother.

I didn't try warming the cans like was suggested, which might be why I felt the paint was really speckled and took lots of coats to get good coverage.

Again, thanks for the props.
