Well, I finally got to paint the Bruiser body I've been trying to strip down for more than six months. I think it turned out pretty good even though I had to paint all the details using a brush. It still needs a steering wheel, taillights, and a mirror, but they will have to wait awhile:p Any comments/suggetions would be appreciated.

Ahh! Don't sand the poor body!:p I simply used brake fluid and #0000 steel wool. After many hours of scrubbing (10 layers of paint) it was nice and clean. Just make sure to wash off all the residue left over. Brake fluid cleans well and will not harm the plastic in any way, unlike paint thinner and other stuff.

I got my Bruiser from the family of my good buddy, who passed away soon after he had repainted it. I decided to strip and repaint it in the kit colors (blue/white)with his name on the side. He had painted the whole body a light metallic blue.

I don't know what paint he'd used but it wasn't easy to strip. I tried Easy-Z Off, Castrol Degreaser and was about to try break fluid, when I found amoung the stuff I got from him, a paint remover for plastics. The distributer is no longer in business(America Hobby Specialists). Man this stuff worked like a dream, stripped two coats of paint quick and clean and didn't harm the plastic!

It has been primed. I'll post pics when finished.
