Had to paint a couple of bodies for the upcoming challenge this weekend - got a Murciélago for my Micro and for stock touring I used an old Eclipse I had lying around (so I wouldn't have to front the cash for a new bod). Whattya think?

I'm liking the Eclipse but not the color combo on the Murcielago... nice splat though ;)

Thanks. The color combo on the Murc looks better in person - the yellow is a pearl with flat yellow speckling, but it looks more intense on my monitor than it does in real life...
Thanks for the props...

Thanks - it was a stretch to do the neon/bright colors, but my wife actually suggested the combo. It's a little "loud" but that's what I was going for! :)

It is gonna take far more than a good paint job. You are gonna need brake disks, interiors, working lights, and EXTRAS out the ying yang!

Nah, they had a real paint freak doing the judging... I didn't think I'd win anyway, but I got a lot of compliments...

That said - I'm in the top 10 in all three classes I'm running (so far - still 1 qualifier to go, tomorrow...)

Thanks! Wish I'd known someone from the boards was there, would have been glad to meet you.
I made the A (Triple A-Main.) - took 5th overall with a 1st, 4th and 5th place finish in the three mains - with an Eclipse body and a borrowed car...
Thanks for the compliment. Did you have fun at the Challenge? (It was hosted by my home club.)
Here's the car in the Concours line....

My teammate took second place in concours with the white car on the left - you can't see the killer details in this pic, but there's three different colors of ghost flames, some really intricate masking, and tinted windows with patterns in them as well. A lot more in-depth than it looks until you get up close...

I loved how they organized practice by class. It was a great weekend for racing and the host hobby shop did a great job. Yeah the days were long but I think it was worth it. That picture of the top three concours cars, I think my eyes were close when Frank took the picture. Your buddy did do a good job on those flames. Well I accomplished one goal by winning concours, but I also ended up 2nd in the A main for super nitro which was a shock, I was having a streak of bad luck during both days and before the mains, I didn't think my tires would hold up. In all, it was a good weekend.
