I just got my E-Maxx today (had to sell the T, but I think I'll like the E more). Now I have a question about the ESC. Can it handle dual stock motors, such as Orion Cores or P2k2's? I have yet to run it (stupid me, setting up Deans on my batteries, and not ordering a set with the E  ), so I don't even know if I would want to switch out motors, but I was just wondering if I could.

Thanks

Yeah, but I'll doubt the E-Maxx will go any decent speed because of the motors.

HammerTime2K4: Read the paperwork that came with your E-maxx! Or did you throw it all away???

Traxxas/Novack clearly states that the E-maxx's esc can handle dual 6 or 7 cell packs down to a 17 turn motor.

But remember that the thing was designed for the tork of dual 550 motors. A 540 stock motor is not as powerful as the 21 turn Titans included in your E-maxx. Sure Trinity and Reedy offer 550 modifieds. But remember with the Titans run time is short enough. Going down to a 19 turn or 17 turn shortens run time even further! Plus where the heck are you gonna find a lathe to fit a 550 armature? Not from any of the normal sources! They are for 540 motors only! Basically the only way to change motors in a E-maxx is to go Brushless! They are so fast and powerful that you don't need dual motors 10-14 cells on a single brushless motor is more than overkill for an E-maxx!

And if you were thinking Novak's Brushless Super Sport system, think again. It clearly states on the box: "Not meant for dual motor 14.4 volt monster trucks.
