having stripped out a wheel and not having enough money for new tires AND wheels, i need to get a en set of wheels and get my old tires off the wheels i ahve now. . . i boiled one of the tires for about an hour and 20 minutes switching from side to side... and it barely helped at all...
how do yall re-use your tires??
any advise in general? i gotta hand ti to tamiya: they used a LOT of glue...

Acetone, freezing, boiling, oven. My friend tried the oven, and they popped off. Not sure how long he left them in there. He did acetone and it was messy, plus not all the tire came off the rim.

Id give the over method a try. It would heat up the glue and then peel right off........

Id prolly invest in some Beadlock rims. They clamp the tire on the rim so no glue needed. When the tire is wore out you simply unscrew it and take it off and put the new tire on.

heat the oven to around 350deg, when fully heated up turn it off and put tires inside, use tinfoil or a cookie sheet to put them on, let sit in oven for 15 to 20 min take out and tires will peel right off, warning they will be hot.

... i used a steak knife. . . lucky me: they still fit on my new wheels fine. . . lol...
i put the wheels on a cup, then pulled down really hard and cut the glue away from them. . .
