yeah i completly lost all the tread on the tires that came with the xxx-s in one day...
so i walk into a LHS and ask if there were any good tires that don't wear out in a day with the 9 turn he said heh good luck :(
so i bought some hpi X tread tires how long you people think they'll hold up?

I'd give them a few days. Honestly your not going to find any tires that will last you over a week when your running a 9 turn motor.

You could always ease up on the hard starts.

Live with the fact that when you strap in that much power, you are going to wear the tire out sooner. You can change how use the throttle trigger - ease into the throttle but then you aren't using the full power of the motor. Even when you try full throttle the motors power band will still cause some excessive wheel spin.
A 9x2 of any type motor is a little bit overkill for anything other than racing where traction is very good.
Hi, sorry for an off-topic Q:
How long is your run time with 9t motor? It must be pretty annoying to change and charge batts every few minutes.. I'm not trying to be sarcastic or whatever, I'm new to RC cars, so I'm just curious...
It's more than just the motor and the driver. Tire life is also affected by the surface you run on, the temperature on the track(not the air, the track!), inserts, camber. If it's too hot out and you are running a cooler temp tire or have soft inserts, your tire would overheat and could melt or wear prematurely. If you are racing on a track; 9t, 12t, or even stock for that matter; will wear the tire just as quickly. Mind you, bashing beats the CRAP out of a tire when you are running on rough surfaces, zooming back and forth a street at full speed; drifiting, making donuts.....
Tires are not real car parts, they are merely consumables.
