Here is my first "real" attempt at painting a bodie. i dont really have many skills ,Yet, so tell me what you think! O and the back will be white! or tell me what you think it should be!

ya my first two bodies were simple can one color paint jobs.

nice painting...... white would be okay.... but i think that might be too bright.. how about a darker blue... damn, i hate being color blind..:)

I was thinkning a gun metal or silver paint?
but blue would look cool aswell... i dunno!

Wish I could do something like that on my first attempt. Did you use an airbrush?? I only get to use rattle cans. I think it looks great. Should send into HPI for racers gallery.

That looks awesome and your masking looks like its spot on :)
My first airbrushed shell was an absolute disaster, every peice of masking leaked, I oversprayed it very badly then once it was done all the paint fell off in a crash.

lol... i used liuqed mask on the entire body and did about 3 coats. When i was cutting the mask out i was afraid it would blead in a few areas were i pulled it up on accident. i just pressed it back down and it still didnt leak. The first coat of black i put on was flaky because i held the brush to far back and put to litle paint on. I just put 3 normal coats on after it and it came out normal..
Another problem i had was the flames were ganna have orange in the center with red on the outer edge but i put the red on to thick and you cant even see the orange now :rolleyes: ...
Well theres always next time...

How can I not be nice with an outstanding body like that. Great color combonation. Nice job on your first attempt. Now I expect more out of you next time.:D

ok i just finished the painting of the body and the color i put on the back Kicks Ass!! its coolness! lol
