Hi from Australia
I am interested in getting in the Parkflyer scene and want to enter this side of the hobby as cheaply as possible without buying myself problems.
I am very interested in the GWS fuse version of the stick. However, I am concerned as I am hearing very different stories as to its quality, flying charecteristics.
Opinions vary widely from very good to very bad.
AT the moment, ARF parkflyer kits on the australian market are limited.
I would realy like to hear from any other aussies as to their experience
Any comments from anyone would be aprreciated.
Many thanks :)

I haven't tried the GWS fuse version of the stik, but I have built two of the GWS Lite Stik. They are great fun and well worth the money.

G'Day Mario !!!! I have both the fuse and stik versions-- The stik (with a little modification ) can be a very agile beastie but in my mint the full fuse flies a little better-- I think the confusion about the flying characteristics of each comes about as they are different horses for different courses?
The full fuse is the better aerobatic machine ( if built correctly) I have found the kit to be a little tail heavy so if this is not addressed it might be limited in what it can do with the stock GWS power setup?
Also the full fuse needs wing bracing ( I use C/F rod) if you are gonna chuck it round too much!! Both planes fly well out of the box -- but with a little thought and application can be made to fly better!!
If you do get the fuse version -- pay special attention to getting the thrust line correct on the motor mounting stik-- this is crucial to get good flight behaviour-- I found this out after a heavy nose plant and fix that put the mount slightly out of spec!!!
HINT do NOT fly inverted under 50 feet :D
it will not recover !! ( Hmm wonder how he knows this????)
any other probs please feel free to mail me at willson_1998@yahoo.com willson_1998@yahoo.com

Just bought the Pico cub (with full fuselage) and it looks pretty good for what it is. I have had about 4 lite sticks. I love flying them in my front yard. They are certainly a good buy for what they are and a good way to get started in the small electric rc scene.

Mario:
I've flown quite a few park/slow flyers, as well as many indoor aircraft. I recently test flew a Full-Bodied Lite Stick for a friend and it flew great. The earlier comment about the plans showing you how to balance the model TAIL HEAVY were correct. The one i flew was built to specs and it flew with the fuse about 15 degrees up! I just corrected it with down trim, but the CG position will be moved forward probably a full inch.
If built correctly, they fly great.
Good luck,

The only difference I can see is the decals and the price. We have both versions available around here and the GWS is $23.99 while the Wattage version is $18.99. They are identical with the exception of the decals and price.

Jason, where do you get an under $20 litestik? Your from TX, is that the LHS or mail order. Details please :)

Hello Everyone,
Is the GWS Lite Stik you mention the same as the Watt-Age lite Stick? I cant seem to find referance to the GWS Lite stick you are asking about?
I am also intersted in electric park fliers, an up until your post, I had my heart set on the Watt-age plane.
If they are two seperate planes, does anyone have any comments on one over another??

Well, I just returned from my local hobby shop, and they've made a liar out of me. The Wattage version is now $22 and the GWS $29.
I get them from Roy's "Toys for Big Boys" in Hurst, TX. I don't have their info with me, but they have an 817 Area Code. You could probably call information and get to them that way. I believe they will ship call in orders. I love them becuase they really support new segments of the hobby like indoor and park flyers, plus you can always count on a good spirited hard time from their counter help :)

can you get replacement parts for the "sticks" or do we have to buy another one? I know they are cheap to buy, but i'd like to get another wing or two ,,,, or three.
