Who has experience putting a Monster Pirate spur setup in a LX PRO? I have my buggy truggyized, but even with a 12T bell, it is still overgeared. It looks easy enough, just drill new holes for the MP center drive unit, and cut room in the radio plate. Any other hoops?

Its should be a piece of cake! You are gonna have to measure for the correct size center shafts. I had some stainless stell shafts made by Bill at www.rcalloys.com and they are SWEEEEET!
If you buy a MP trans, but if from ebay! And it will probly include everythng you need. PM me and I'll give you the e-mail to a guy I bought mine off of. I only paid like 45 bucks for the entire thing. I also bought some other stuff but that stuff was only a MP reciever box and a MP gas tank and I paid extra for them . Lemme know and I'll give you the e-mail.

Thanks for the info man. I actually have an old MP rolling chassis that I can ravage for the parts. Were the driveshafts different sizes from what either the MP had stock or the LX PRO? Which buggy did you convert?

well , I bought a 1/8 scale conversion kit, and the monster pirate shafts are longer the the LX Pro's I think, I know that the shafts for the MBX pro dont fit, I think the MBX and the LX have the same shafts.

I have the MP center unit in my LX Pro. I am running into problems though. The engine mount holes are large enough to get the right mesh since the MP spur is so big. I enlarged the hole a bit but it's still a little too tight. The stock drive shafts fit fine for me.
