I don't think I see anything about that car that screams "novelty." It looks like a very serious car to me.

Hey chris, until I see a 1/12 touring car class at any track, this is a novelty car in my opinion. I have an xray evo 2 and I love it. But it'll be a cold day in hell before I spend $200 + on a car that's to big for a micro track, and to small for a normal track. If you like to play in the driveway, this car will be cool. Mini car classes have come and gone over an over again. Mini rs4, Tamiya mini.........Remember?

Does anyone know when this will be out. Looks great. www.teamxray.com . I think the 1/18th scene is going to take off soon. I can see other competitive companies producing 1/18th cars in the not to distant future. Well done HPI for bringing it to the masses. I will have to donate that to a relative or something.

Only decision, which first Losi truck or Xray.

Do you shoot down eveything?

Anyway.. I saw two of the Yokomo cars dicing out at my loacl track (SoCal raceway....Indoor prepped asphalt.. 1/10 scale)..and with 4 cells and the 19 turn motors these guys were using...these cars were wompin the track... they handled like they were on rails and they were very fast...and quick (yes fast and quick are two different things)...The guys that were driving them were from Yokomo but they were giving some guys a chance to drive them after the night of racing was done..and a lot of drivers were impressed... I know we're talking about the XRay car...but if the yokomo car is any indication as to where this stuff is going...I'm sure classes will start popping up...they are already all over Japan

That looks sick! I hope my LHS starts a class for these things, cause i'd definately pick one up. Take a hint HPI, re-release your minis.
