does any one here know where i can get retractable landing gear for a P-40 "Flying Tiger"?

Hi,
You did not mention the size of you bird, but I would check with Robart. They have a wide variety of retractable gears for scale models.

thanks for telling me about robart. oh, actually i didnt get the p-40 yet, but rather i was wondering if i did get it, would there be any wheels for it. but i think i might get a Dauntless instead...know where i can get any from say, 25-30"?

Robart carries a lne of retracts for .049 scale R/C models, they probably have something that would work on the Dautless. That's a neat plane, are you looking at the Guillows kit?

yeah i saw the retracts for the dauntless at robart too. i looked at the Guillows model, but it doesn't really say much about it. so i think i'll go with a kit that i saw from Skyshark R/C. thanks for the info though.

That plane can use the same retracts as a corsair they rotate 90 aft so the wheel goes up into the wing flush.

And would you believe, they still work a month later!!!! H9-P-40 that is....

This HAS to be one of the easiest planes to land - and our nice long runway make it a pleasure to do touch and goes.....but I have to confess, I did bounce once:)
