Carolina RC Speedway's new offroad track is really starting to take shape. The new track will host an elevated pit road, new 9ft elevated driver's stand with wheelchair ramp, over 670ft race line, min. lane width is 14ft up to 20ft. and a host of other good stuff. We'll post some pics of the progress as soon as we can put the shovels and hammers down.

This year's rain and storms had really taken a toll on progress but now were full steam ahead once again.

Shooting for first race sometime in mid to late Oct. hurricanes permitting of course. lol

This track was not designed to be a big HP track but still be a driver's track but with better flow and no 180deg. end-of-pipe turns. All lanes are separated by an island of at least 4-10ft.

We do plan to race thru the winter by combining oval/TC/offroad all into Sat. If this doesn't work especially with the number of racers we've been having lately, we will go to alternate Saturdays and keep everyone racing all winter.

2004 is going to be an awesome year for offroad at Carolina.

We are still racing on the current offroad track on Friday nights at 7pm

Oval and TC on Sat. at 1pm
