Best Street/Race Competition #8 (Street Dreams)
Welcome everyone to the Eighth Street/Race Competition!!

The Street/Race paint competition will be open for entrees for two weeks and will close at Midnight September 30th.

Each month we will hold a Best Paint and Street/Race competition. If you can’t get your bodies done this month, don’t worry there will be plenty more to come!!

The winning bodies may appear in Radio Control Car Action or R/C Nitro!!

Restrictions: Street cars only. Whats your dream car to cruise the strip?


RULES for Street/Race competition:

1) Any body may be submitted to the competition (Truck, buggy, touring car, etc).
2) Any body submitted may NOT appear in another competition.
3) Photo editing the pictures (other than cropping and adjusting brightness/contrast) is highly looked down upon and may result in disqualification.
4) Anyone may enter a body (professional painters are welcome!)
5) Please refrain from insulting bodies in anyway.
6) Must fall within this month's restrictions (September restrictions: Street Dreams)
7) Only 2 entrees per person.
8) Bodies should be painted within the last 4 months.
9) Bodies must be of a "street" look or be painted in a race car style.

Each submission must include the following:
Body manufacturer and size.
Paint used.
Masks used (hand or precut)
And of course, a body.

This month the great Wimmerma will be judging the Street/Race paint competition.

Each body will be judged by the following criteria (1-bad, 10-excellent):

Detail (score 1-10) (decals, grills, mirrors, roll cages, if its on a real car you score points here)
Design (score 1-10)
Execution (score 1-10)


The photo and background will not be judged. All that is needed is a clean photo that clearly shows the body.

Each month we will place some restriction on all entrees.

Tried to make fading front to back ghost flames with the pearl paint. Turned out OK, not my best work but it is OK. I have not mounted the body to my Schmaucher Fusion yet.

Tamiya Mercedes-Benz CLK-DTM 2000 Team D2(discontinued). 190 mm.

Was airbrsuhed in Testors indi silver.

The only mask that was used was the stock window masks.

The reason I chose this body was because my first car ever came with this body, I won alot of races with it and I think its one of the best looking bodys yet. I thought it would be cool to keep one in good condition.

NOTE: I didnt have it done in time for the junior paint competition. I am 13. More picture are avaible.

Super-Dayv: Unfortunately your T-maxx body isnt allowed because you did not paint it. (your silvia looks awesome though)

Performance RC: I set up the basic rules that neve change and basically frame the competition. Every other month I then add another rule or Restriction to challange people a little and give them new ideas. These restrictions always take presidence over the general rules. Your body has been "withdrawn" meaning it will not be judged. You may enter it in the next best street/race competition.

Also, I will be on a cruise to Cozamel when this contest ends, how long will people be able to view the winners?

By "street" I mean more realistic cars. A jacked up bruiser would be a great entry, but a stadium truck just doest really fit the realistic bill. Sorry.

You will be able to view the results whenever you get back. If its not near the top then you can do a search for "best street/race competition #8" and it should pop up.

First thing, it isn't a street race bodies comp. It's a street (something you'll see on the street) / Race (something you'd see on the track).

Second thing, there is a Street/Race competition once every month.

Hi Integra.

What gold did you use on that body?

its not alcad or cusom colour spray as I would normally use, its nicer.

I think ill paint a replica tomorrow, its supprisin how the simplest designs often look the best.

its a blend of pactra clear amber and a touch of clear red to give it some orange tint. the tric i find is to paint gold under reds and yellows it seams to richen up the color a lot. THANKS GUYS!!
