No, There is no such thing as too fast.....or at least not until you turn on the radio and your car suddenly dissapears. :D :p

Anyways, to give you a better Idea of what a brushless motor is, think of it this way: In a normal brushed motor, the magnets are around the inside of the motor can, and the windings are on the armature. A brushless motor is the exact opposite; I.E. the magnets are on the armature and the windings are around the inside of the motor can. This eliminates the need for a commutator and brushes. Because of this, a special controller is needed to switch the windings on and off in the right order and timing, since the commutator is no longer there to do it automatically.

Also, as Kenny T said, they have longer runtimes and next to no maintennance needed. And, as said by GTCanuk, they are "stupid fast" , and believe it or not, depending on the system, they can surpass a 9 or 10 turn, and with WAAAAAY much more torque than a brushed modified.

However, all these good things do come at a price....brushless systems are quite expensive, with a base system costing about $250.
