I am building an IPS-powered Beech Staggerwing from plans for a Peanut scale rubber-powered plane which I scaled up to a 28" span. I will use throttle, elevator and rudder control. The plan shows 4 degrees of dihedral (each half-wing) for both upper and lower wings. That sounds low to me, but I don't have experience with biplanes. Is 4 degrees enough?

Hi Don,
From my experience with biplanes and in particular cabin types, the dihedral is very effective, about like a high wing cabin model. I would go with the 4 deg. per panel, that should be about right. In general, if it worked for a rubber powerd free flight model, the settings should be good for a park flyer size.

Thanks for the help. I will use 4 degrees.
