i had a art project, where we had to draw something, from a photo, w/ colored pencils.
first I was gonna do spoolin's emaxx, but i have never even tried to use colored pencils before, and figured I'd end up rushing it, and the dirt sprays would look like a mess.
so I went to the onroad pictures i had, and knew instantly i had to do RallySteve's EVO! :D

here's the pic that I used:

here's the final results:

i can't believe how crappy it looks in those pics..
it looks really washed out, and you can't see the shades very well =\
there's actually shades of orange in the green, but they don't show up well.
I should send it to spoolin and ask him to take a picture for me

here's I made a gif, to see how close they are.
besides the coloring being off (believe it or not, the FIRST picture that I ever tried w/ colored pencils), I think it looks alright.
the rear wheel is off a bit, but pretty close for not copying :P

and here's a photoshop that I just did very mild, but I think it's funny choping a drawing, instead of photo lol

i was trying to desaturize* it, then make it look cell shaded, so you could see the different color tones...
but I couldn't find the cell shading option (i think it starts w/ a "d", and you choose how many shades you want your picture to be made up of..)

That looks really nice. If that's washed out, I can only imagine how it looks in person.

I'm actually quite flattered that you'd chosen one of my cars.

Keep up the good work!

Nice job!!!
Have you tried adjusting the contrast and saturations in photoshop? You can probably make it look closer to how it looks in person..
