View Full Version : T-MAXX ez start problem

Hey i have a t maxx with a trx pro .15 engine and i have had it for a while now. The last night i tried to start it and it wouldnt turn over...but i can hear the ez start turning like crazy haha. But wen i opened the ez start box up... the gears are all good, none of them is stripped or anythin.... Can somebody help me with dis problem? I kinda suspect that its the one way bearing but im not sure so ... i need help please thanks!!
clean the one way bearing if that dont fix it pull the head and look at the sleeve if u see deep scratches u have low compression one or 2 very shallow u have to search 4 them scratches are normal but ones that show at a glance signal rebuild time but i think it simply needs the oil cleaned from the bearing

a warning if u have to pull the head off get a quality driver and some gloves they will be TIGHT but dont do that untill u have tried to start it again and find out whether the bearing cleaning works if it works leave the head alone if it dont pull the head btw the head is the part on the top with all the fins on it and the blue wire leading in

haha its ok....na i had a couple viechles before my maxx... so no worries its okay im cleanin the bearin right now :)
\WAS THAT ENGINE HARD TO GET OUT MINE HAS 4 SCREWS AND A ZIP TIE HOLDING IT IN but mine is a CEN Racing MT2

hahahha na it aint hard to get out...buh well...it is kinda a pain to get it out... i have 4 screws holdin it on....u really have zip ties? wow haha dats interesting. OH and i jus cleaned the bearing and everythin seems to be working fine...jus hopes it stays like dat...thanks man i really appreciate it :)

na .... haha i found out my blue wire to light up the glow plug went bad... so i cant start it anyways, i gotta get one then i can get it runnin again. haha
get a glo starter and charger mine is a hot shots 2

oh....well yea i would do the same...buh then my bro still wants to use the wire...even though i told him dat its really cheap to use the glow starter....but oh well ... hahha its okay

oh its fully charged...the motor turns over very fast... jus the other part isnt working
put a new glo plug in it and new blue wire also make sure fuel is getting in

yea i already did put a new glow plug it....brand new lol. and the gas is also gettin in, its jus dat theres nothing to light the glow plug
well the only way i see fixing this is getting a glo starter and telling ur bro it either the glo starter or no tmaxx

sometimes u just have to lay down the law and do things a diff way
make sure the glo starter is rechargeable like mine and comes with wall charger my hot shots 2 has stayed on even after i rolled my 1/10 mt upside down on pavement and still works
ive got some pics of my rc gear for my only rc that is wirth wearing out if u want to see them and i wouldnt mind some maxx pics from ur truck

whoa dats cool hahahha wat kinda truck is dat? sorry i do not have any pictures...the only pictures i have is when i first got my maxx...and i dont think u want to see dat...if i get a recent pic then ill show u =)
its a CEN Racing MT2 top of the line with the minimum odds n ends to run and maintain it
i dont need any after run oil because i run the thing out of gas every time i drive it untill i cant get it refired

dats awesome man.... have u had any OFNA veicles? i had a buggy it was great... i wish i still have it hahah
the only other brand iv dealt with are kyosho(mini-z overlandx2) new bright(countless moving targets)nikko(see new bright also ony rc boats i have had i sank them) and radio shack(see previous 2)

that is why they are good they are fully proportianal 1/28 rc complete with built in reversing esc with brake for f1 and overland models the racer has a simpler fwd/rev esc i had one of my overlanse up to its aaa nimh batteries in water and not a lick of damage:D but it is so short it will fit under my MT2
hows the maxx coming did u tell ur bro its either a glo starter or no tmaxx

oh ahhaha yea... i jus recieved my parts yesterday, but he still doesnt want to buy a glow starter. Im chargin my ez start battery right now... wen its fully charged im gonna start it haah i cant wait :D OH and bout the mini z's ... that sounds interesting... i would like to try one some day haha
