I bought this a while ago off ebay, brand new in package. I just assembled it, and tried to trial fit on my E-Maxx. It didn't seem like it would work. I have no skid plate (busted that) so it might with the Hardcore Skid installed. Were there different versions of the Kit?

*Technically* the PL kit isn't meant for the E-Maxx, but it can be made to work. I had this problem just a few weeks ago with my E. I found that you have to grind off one of the posts on the chassis that hold the stock steering system in place to make room for the built-in servo saver. You also must either leave off the tall black spacer the came with the kit that goes over the other blue piece or just grind off the other post on the chassis. Another problem you will have to deal with is that the included steering rod is too long. You will have to make a hole in the outer side of the servo saver (the one on the servo) to allow it to be mounted correctly with the servo centered. Hope this helps!

Grind the black posts flush with the chassis? I need to get my skid so I try all of this stuff. I thought it would just easily fit. I gotta learn to do more research.

Yeah, just grind them off and put the new blue posts in their places. The skid will attach to the tops of the new blue posts.
