wat truk shall i get for xmas my limit is bout $500, my mates gettin a savage 25 rtr and i want sumit to thrash him or come very close to it. im very interested in the mad force (oringinal one) is it a good truk, any bad points, wats the engine like?
i have a tmaxx so no need to suggest that.

In stock form the Mad Force is very fast and a pretty good rock crawler due to it having great low speed responce. But it's also very bouncy on rough terrain and the steering is very vague at higher speeds with a much higher center of gravity it doesn't corner near as well as a Savage. With softer springs and heavier oil in the shocks plus upgraded steering linkage it's a much inproved truck but on a track it's still no problem for the Savage. I would consider a MGT with a bigger clutch bell and maybe a higher performance engine. I have the Mgt and a Savage with a force 25 plus other mods and it looks like very stiff competion for the Savage even stock with only the 21. I just received the 24.7 pro to install so it should be much faster and be able to pull taller gears.
