Im about to mount the spoiler on my Stratus 2.1 and there are like 5 diffrent holes on the spoiler that I can use to mount it, adjusting how far foward or back it is. How does the position affect performance and which holes do you reccomend that I use. I also dont know how your supposed to attach the sides of the spoiler, should I glue them on or screw them on. I was looking at some pictures in RCCA from the worlds and it appears that Mark Padavis used 2 screws to mount each side. I pretty sure that the sides of the spoiler will contact the sides of the body if I mount it in the farthest forward position, is this normal?

Thanks

I just opened my package from HPI and to attach the sides of the spoiler should be 2 sided tape. It should have came with your body in the same package as the screws.

I guess Ill use the double sided tape to attcah the sides. Come on someone must know what holes to use to mount the spoiler or how the holes affect performance.

Ream out the first, third and fifth mounting hole guides. I generally like my wing in the front position, but others like it in a different position. The different mounting holes will allow you to tune your body to your liking, but only go after this once your car feels like it has a good overall setup. I personally use a washer under protoforms screw because when someone comes driving up the back of your car, with just the stock hardware, the screw won't budge but it will rip through the lexan of the wing. The outside diameter of the washer I use is around .3 inches, while the stock head of the protoform hardware is only .2 inches and that extra tenth of an inch will prevent the wing from ripping during a severe crash. Even using two wing mount screws (total of four) I still use the washers.

I think they came from Team Associated if that will help you even more.

And I don't glue the wing unless I know what position I want it to be in, and I still use the supplied hardware anyway.
