I'm trying to get an idea of the following of indoor offroad nitro racing on the eastcoast.

What I'm looking for is a vote to see if there is enough interest to build a indoor offroad track.

The chance to race offroad indoors on the eastcoast is few and far between.

Please vote here if your from the tri-state area (Md,Va, Pa) or area nearby and WILL race indoor offroad.

Nitro would be the focal point but electric might be all that's available at this time. Nitro might come later or if there's enough of a following, nitro might take the stage!!!

When you vote, please specify "electric or nitro" and if your serious about racing and making a road trip to race there (central Md.). I can't say who, what, when, where right now but a strong vote for offroad will hopefully yeild a better chance at having an indoor offroad track.

Thanks and remember to vote. You don't have to leave your name, just a simple yes you would support it and what you would race, nitro or electric, or both!!!

I would probably try and go if you were in the dc-annapolis area, i live in NC and have family in MD, I run 1/8 scale K2 i, I think indoor tracks or even a pavilion style track would be a big hit. There was one in beltsville that I ran at 10 years ago, I don't know if its still there now, but that was electric to, you would need some good exhaust for gas, good luck, my vote is in, yes!

I live in Baltimore , and would really be interested in racing indoor! Nothing like racing all year round.I run an RC10GT , and am looking at 1/8th scale buggies.
YES! YES! YES! YES!

Thanks for the replys. It looks like the track I was speaking of isn't doing offroad. They decided to lay carpet instead. Even with another well established carpet track 30 minutes away!!!!

On the other hand, there's a thread posted about a track in PA. that is going on. Here's a link, http://www.radiocontrolzone.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=146762

The gentlemans name is Chris McKinney. He asked if I would try to spread the word so I'm trying. :)

The track will be located right outside York, Pa. between York and Harrisburg. You can use the zip code 17319 to find the area on mapquest.

Please spread the word. Chris has some great ideas and will have one of the nicest indoor offroad tracks on the coast. Did I mention nitro??? That's correct, he'll be racing nitro, t-maxx, truck and 8th scale buggy as well as nitro dirt oval. Lets not forget electric, he'll have a class for just about any class you race so make plans early to come out and check it out and race. It should be tons of fun and a great time for all.

Hope to see and meet new racers from all around, and remember, spread the word.

Thanks, Greg

I know him as well and my only concern is how do you have a overall dimension of 55x98 and have a offroad track inside an oval

just my opinion its gunna be too small unless he ditches the oval.. and 55 x 98 on an 1/8 scale not even worh running........

I am reserving my final opinions till I see it,, but so far am not impressed

To each his own. I think it's a big step for the eastcoast. Like you said, save it until it's done, you might be suprized!!! ;)
