No vid over 60 mph yet. I had the truck set up and ready to go, but I was alone with my 11-month old kiddo' today, so I'm just happy to have gotten out for the run.

I'll definitely get some video soon. I do have some 50+ MPH speed run videos from when it was running twin brushless though. Unfortunately, my circuit has been having terrible problems over the last 2 weeks, and I'm only getting about 66kbps upstream. I dont think a few ounces in aluminum is gonna gain much, he has over 3 lbs in batteries on that sucker!

HiAmp- I think you should definatly take a look at these FAUP cells. On 24 cells, you'd have over a pound in weight savings.

These cells are nimh, with a capacity of 1950 mah. They are about as long as a sub c cell, but are about 5mm narrower than a sub c. Not to mention, 23 grams lighter than a GP3300. From what I have heard, they cannot deliver quite as much current, but make up in the weight/space savings!

I maybe ordering some soon to help break 60 mph in my rustler. I think they are seriously worth a look.

PS, nice 50+ mph vid! Bandwidth for me was 15-20 kbs, my dsl usually tops out at 45 kb/s.

As far as the batts go, a couple weeks ago, when I ran the B50 8XL motor, I would go through a set of 3300 mAH batts in about 2 minutes. The 9XL is a LOT more efficient, but with an ESC capable of delivering bursts of 225 Amps, I don't think I'm ready to run less capable cells quite yet. Maybe after my more efficient custom C50 XL gets here.... :)

From what I have heard, they need to be treated similar to nicads. Also, keep in mind these are boats hitting in the 100 mph mark. They are charging at way to high of an amp rate for this smaller cell....I have heard you want to charge them at around three amps.

I might be way of but aren't you supposed to keep the recharge current below or at 1C? With NiHM that is...
