where to find Stampede kit (not rtr)?

Hey,

I cannot get the Stampede kit from my local hobby shop. Tower does not list it either. I really would like to get the kit, and get it new for Xmas, not used.

Anybody know where I could find one?

You're best bet is going to be finding a LHS that has one sitting around. Traxxas stopped producing kits versions of the Stampede probably 2 years ago.

find someone who is selling a Stampede and tell them you will throw in an extra $20 if they take it apart before they send it to you :D

I was going to post this exact question! I really want to build up a Stampede bashing for jumping.

I am looking for a kit too, but have not had any luck so far :( I am hoping that someone knows of any online hobby shop that still has a few kits.

I just do not appreciate RTRs. I had a Losi XXX-S RTR, and only used it twice, and never touched a screw on it. Then I sold it on eBay and someone got a good deal on it.

my main reason for not wanting the RTR is that I already have a much nicer ESC just sitting here that would be great, so I would save money by not getting the ESC RTR or even the RTR with the manual controller.

I think I will just ask for the manual controller version then. I will continue to hunt online and respond here if I find a few.
