Single Or Double Trim Tabs????

I just started building a John Finch Wildthing and wanted some opions on whether I should follow the plans trim tabs which is a single tab, 1 7/8" wide 2" out from the transom or should I make a split tab about 2 1/2" wide....will the double tab make that much difference?

I have the same boat but have yet begun to test it out. I would follow what the plans have shown personally.
