i just got a water pump for my 1/8 miss bud and the instructions say to drill into the crank case for the pressure tap. but theres also a diagram that shows how to install the pressure tap into the spacer between the carb and the engine. is it possible that its optional to drill into the spacer to get the pressure thats needed instead of drilling into the crank case. if so please respond. thanks

FLYER, can you show us what you're talking about?
I'm getting ready to do the same thing to mine and want to be sure.

Mine coming off the case for my 230 pumps good.
For the new engine, I might go with what you guys are talking about. Don't really want to go drilling into a new engine.

Their web site is way out of date. You have to call to find out. I bought the Magnum 57 kit with all things needed to get it in the water after a bit of assembly. They do most of their fabrication in their shop so if you ask for something specific, they may make it for you.

http://www.zenoah.net/products/hobby/download/G260_G231.pdf
but still, if you want a part for the motor and the cheapest price. Heres an example. I needed a 260PUM carb, the whole carb at horizon hobbies is $89US, the exact same carb from WHH is $44. Needless to say, its where i got mine from. just call them if you don't see it on their site. It does say on their site somewhere that if you need a part for any of their engines that they carry all of them.
But thats true, you don't have a 260PUM, Darn!
Call them

when you wanted a part # I thought U didn't have one. For sure its easy, be sure to get the tap first to make sure you drill the right size hole.
