ran the SS5800 all last year in a XXXT with no problems. now, all of a sudden, the SHAFT seems to have pulled loose from the magnet. i hesitate to push it back in without doing damage. i've never used any force(to pull a stuck pinion, for instance) on the shaft. THIS EVER HAPPEN TO ANYONE OUT THERE ???....also, any idea what my recourse would be ??????

This is a problem some of the Novak motors have, I would contact Novak and see if they will replace it.

happened to me twice, once i just pushed it back in alignment, now it came loose again and the magnet ended up with a groove on it.. they better replace it, some serious quality control issues here. i went with novak for their reputation for top notch stuff, i hope they don't disappoint, i already had to replace the front bearing in mine as well.

toddzilla.....i sent an e-mail to NOVAK.waiting for their reply i/c/w this deal..............if it's not favorable(and, by the way, other postings have seem to have had the same problem), i'll try the fix(with JB WELD) that i saw on one of the other postings. the guy who used it said that it worked............but, kinda hate to start tearing into the (78.00 dollar on TOWER) motor.......

mine stopped working completely.. it gives a locked rotor signal and just sits there..

toddzilla..........just heard from NOVAK customer service. they tell me to just send the whole combo back to them and they'll replace it(after checking out the ESC, as well......)..sounds good to me, i guess.......
