Wild Thing .21 Mono

Have any of you boat gurus ever built/ran this boat? I'm thinking of buying the plans, but want to hear what you guys think of the boat first. Any mods I should know about? Thanks for your time and hope you have a great day.

Joel, one friend of mine built one shortly after the plans came out and another is building one now for his wife as a Christmas gift. They seem to handle pretty well, I'd compare it to my Speedmaster 21 or a Seaducer in it's ride. When my buddy ran his, he had a problem with water getting into the hull from somewhere. We even videotaped it running to try to find the source. It was either coming in while turning or else his "J" shaped water pickup was bringing it in at low speeds. He likes to mount his pickup tube directly behind the prop instead of using a rudder mounted one.
Mike Zaborowski at www.grimracer.com is selling pre-built WT's in both a .21 and .12 sized versions. I'm looking at the .12 myself. They might not be on his site at the moment, he just redid it.
