I read that Tamiya is going to stop the production of the Clodbuster in the near future.

Anyways I'm hoping they come thru with a great replacement, like a ladderframe modclod, kind of like they did when the TXT-1 replaced the Jugg2. It would be nice to be able to purchase a complete truck straight from Tamiya, but with the tranny being the same as the Clod's, and having the aluminum chassis like the TXT-1.

I would bet that if Tamiya is pulling the Clod from production, then they must have something up their sleves to replace it. something with independent front and rear tranny's and a low CofG. A rock crawler you can build right out of the box.

Has anyone heard anything?

Wait, so the TXT-1 is the Juggy replacement? I thought that the Juggy was the Clodbuster replacement.

It probably was meant as such...only the Clod sold really well and the Jugg didn't...

The clod has be discontinued due to the licensing of the Chevy body ending and not wanting to renegotiate it. If you notice the Bullhead has not be discontinued which means parts/gearboxes will be around for a while. What has been hinted on another board from a Tamiya source is that there will be a Clod 2 coming out more then likely same exact truck just with a different body.

How similar is the Bullhead to the Clod?

not true, the chevy emblem was removed from the clod body along time ago, no licensing required
