ok x-mass is just around tha corner and a couple of weeks ago my rd logics pipe got cracks in it and then out of tha blue expolded into about 4 peices (only tha manifold was destroyed). so im sending tha pipe bak 2 get a new 1 but it prolly wont b bak 4 about 3 weeks or so so in tha meantime i need a pipe 2 use and i dont have my stock. so i just made one out of copper pipe and i was wondering if it will work 4 a day of racing and will i have more or less power.

You'll definatly get much less power and less run time per tank. Each pipe is shaped to have a certain amount of back pressure which pushes the excess fuel back into the engine to be burned. The waves will also not bounce back right which will cause a loss in power. That's kinda the easy explination but it really doesn't require an indepth explination.

For the 2.5, the stock pipe is one of the best pipes, period. I run the RD logics pipe/header as I like the lower temps and consistency it delivers in all temps - especially in long mains.

The stock plastic pipe is a good buy for about $15. If you want to make it better and don't mind the extra noise and slight loss of fuel economy, drill out the stinger and gut the insides by breaking them with the drill bit and shaking them out (may take 1/2 hour to get the pieces small enough to shake out). The steel Ritter, The RDL and the stock plastic pipe are the best in my opinion.
