Fenix, a couple quick questions:
1) Have you bought the boat already? If so, there's no real way to make it turn both directions equally since the turn fin is on the side. It's just normal for a hydro. You might be able to move the turn fin to the bottom center bit it would be unstable in the turns. Maybe someone here can guide you better than I can.
2) If you haven't bought the boat yet, make sure that it's what you want - don't buy it on looks alone. You need to know that there are about a dozen mods you need to do to this boat to make it a fun runner. It's not for racing. I don't mean to trash-talk the Miss Bud since I have one & I like to run it, but don't plan on running it straight out of the box. Look on some of the past posts here & you'll see some of the issues that have come up.

I wouldn't mind having one to sit on the mantle.

I hope Waterzub hasn't given up yet, I want to hear ALL the details when he gets that new motor.

Having been around the 1/8th scale comunity of Washington for years, I might be able to help on this one. The main reason the hydros like the Bud turn right is a little thing called propwalk. If the boat is riding like it should, only the bottom of the prop is in the water, pushing the transom to the left. By putting the skidfin on the left side, yes the boat will turn better to the left, but not as well as if left in stock setup. If you want a boat that will turn equally well boat ways, you might look into tunnel hulls. I know they are outboards, but it will perform more like youseem to want.
