Shock oil...
Then the number (thinkness) is determined by what type of car you have and how hard you'd like the shoks to be...
I am a big fan of AE 40wt, works in all three of my cars...

Losi and AE's oils are the best out there. What kind of car are you running? If you're running a truck than 35-40 is where to go, and if you're running a T/C than 45-50 is where it's at.

:) Well boys, the truck that I am trying to run is a monster(Or should I say a beast that is waiting to get lose cause havic.)truck.It is a clodzilla 3.And I do not want it to be bouncing around after jumping off a ramp in the air in a race!So what do you think,Do I have a winner? Holla back and I am gone like the wind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Alterd Beast

For bashing across a field and general jumping on my TMaxx I run 40W in the front and 50W in the rear. For my driving and bashing this is much better then the stock 30W that came with my shocks. I am running Traxxas Big Bore Aluminum shocks and stock springs in my TMaxx and I use the shims to change ride height for weight distribution. I cannot find other spring tensions for these shocks so I use shims to change it.
RC Nitro did a great article on shock setups even before I read it I had the right idea for how I run. I have seen better steering and improved jumping by running different weight shock oils front and rear.
