I want to know whats the best ready to run gas truck under $350 or should I build my own and if so what should I build. I have some expirience with rc. I would rather go with a rtr unless its allot worse. Thanks

If your looking for a good nitro RTR and you need a decent radio, I'd go with a TL XXX-NT.

the only rtr nitro truck i know anything about is the savage, and it is awesome, either the .21 or the .25 (better, but the .21 is still great). you can get them off ebay for about that much

You need to be more specific on what you want to do with your nitro truck. Do you want a flat out race truck??? If so get a RTR Losi xxx-nt.
If you want to race AND bash get a RTR Associated GT Plus, take the plastic carburetor restrictor, and add some stiffer springs (if you want to jump high w/o a ton of chassis slap) and youll be set.
If you JUST want to bash for under $350 your not going to find a brand new rtr monster truck for under that price. Well besides the CEN MT2, but your lhs wont carry parts for it (im 99% sure of this) so Id stay away from it. Well HPI has the nitro mt and nitro mt2 but I dont know their price.
Truck or monster truck? Truck is easy Assoc RC10GT it's the only true choice for gas trucks.RTR or not, is your choice.

Ok it seems Losi or Associated. I am not going to race but I am gonna bash around and I need reliability too. So what is it gonna be?

Whatever you can get parts for at your LHS... Sucks waiting for parts... Stadium trucks don't make good bashers...

AE RTR GT if your going to bash and race. Period. Im 95% sure your lhs will stock a ton of parts for the GT so I wouldnt be too worried about that. IF you get a GT, after your used to tuning it take the carb restrictor out :D, you will fly, not as good gas mileage but its worth it. My AE .15 has seen its last days :(, my pullstart will get about one compression per pull if Im lucky and Im not going to replace the p.s. again. Time to get an OS .15 cv-r...

if you are only gonna bash, then go as big as you can afford. i suggest a savage. with the .25s out now, the .21s are going to get cheaper. that's probably what i'm gonna get when i'm in the market again.
