Heh,
My friend jacob (mytruckwontrun) was over with his B4 today :D We put smooth red tape all over his tires and were driving it on my tile. We'd have my dog come up and look at it then hit the throttle and he would run away. Weird thing is that my GT doesnt bother him at all  Probablly because its loud and doesnt have an element of surprise like an electrics do.

This summer I was at another friends house and he had like a Radioshack "Raider", just a cheapo electric s/t. But his tires were down to slicks and we would drift all over his tile flooring. But we would hide the r/c under his bed and tempt his dog, Zeke, in with pretzels and Id have the controller and go full throttle and he would flip out. And this dog isnt what Id call little either. I have found its fun to chase pigeons with my gt, lol theyre so stupid. Id get up within about 4 feet of one and then gun it which would finally make it fly away.

The_In_Kid
Man any dog that size would be afraid of that TXT-1, its the same size as him :D You should go into your backyard or somewhere where your dog cant hear the beep of the radio so you can really scare him. My dog is 11 or so (acts like hes 11 months old lol, hyper pooch) so I need to quit scaring him as much, dont wanna give him a heart attack...

Man guys you should try having 4 border collies that all love to herd, its a p-in-the-a they try to herd it all over the place its kind of fun tough, one time I jumped my dog with my nitro monster truck, that was cool, and speaking of cats I have one trained to sit on top of my emaxx when I run it in the house, thats funny!

You should NOT be chasing pets around with your RC cars. That's just plain cruel and inconsiderate. It's one thing if they like to play with the cars, but if they're afraid of it and you terrorize your cat/dog/whatever with your RC, then you need to grow up a bit.

i use the rs x-mod i just got for x-mas(nissan skyline GT-R) to terrorize my dogs, its the only r/c i can run in my house cause the only other one i have is a nitro stadium truck. it's easy to scare a pet if they are sleeping and you ram them in the face, or chase them. i'm disappointed that the x-mod only gets 45 min from a set of batteries...looks like i'm buying rechargable batteries with my x-mas money.

My first few vehicles were Kyosho Infernos. I used to take them and my dog Sam to the park and run them both. He loved chasing them down and was only slightly slower then the buggy at top speed. Being a German Shepherd, it didn't terrify him at all, in fact he loved chasing it. The few times he caught it, he tossed that 7 pound buggy around like it was a feather. Usually he'd grab it by the rear wing or the front tire and give it a death shake and then fling it a good 10 to 15 feet. Eventually I had to stop because I got tired of replacing rear wings and bodies.

German shepards are some cool dogs  My aunt had one, its my second favorite animal that Ive "meet", the pooch I have right now, Laramie, is my favorite. My dad has one of those vibrating back massagers and my dog was sitting by me so I barely had it touching him and turned it on to see whatd he do. I scared the living crap out of him :D He got freaked out because he didnt know what it was...Now when I do it to him he just sits there, I think he likes it. Kinda took the fun out of it

I hope someone like a cop or humane society employee catches you jerks chasing animals.

A few hundred dollar fine for animal cruelty will put a nice dent in your R/C budget.

And shame on RCCA for not deleting this topic to begin with.

Little punks who hurt animals end up as big punks that hurt and molest children and rape women. It's a fact.

My Cat loves chasing my Xmod. She must love it.. keeps going till the batts die. Also, it gives her exercise and gives me driving skillz :p

Umm hpiguy: chill out... this is supposed to be a fun thread. I don't agree with animal cruelty, but i don't see how closing the thread would help. You hit on a big issue with your last sentence there and i think that's true to some extent, however, in that case; we do more harm in pretending the problem doesn't exist...

Hey, sometimes i do it for good. My neighbor's sheep were sticking there head through the fence, and eating the row of seedlings my dad and i just planted, so i decided to scare em with my e-maxx. THEY FREAKED! It was for there own good, becuz unlike goats, sheep don't eat everything. The seedlings will get them sick. And demz be prize winnin sheep, i tell you wut... They also have guinea hens (it's a zoo to me, 4-H paradise to them) That come over, and those idiotic birds crap all over the place, and the don't know which way to run when Mr. Willy pops out (Wild Willy 2 you perverts!) its funny when it pops a wheelie right in front of them when they're eating ticks.

Now, i regret chasing my cat with my rc's cuz he ran away on my birthday (7/16) and never came home. I hope he is in a better place...:(

I'm an idiot????

It's a fact that people that terrorize animals in young life grow up to be maladjusted criminals who later take out their anger on other people.

If you doubt it, read a criminal justice book sometime.

But I guess it's OK if people terrorize animals. According to you.

I feel sorry for your parents and people in your community.

My Golden Retreiver isn't "terrorized" by any of my R/C cars. lol, he accaully comes outside, sits and watches me run the thing.

now my cousin's dog, man he's a figgin maniac!!! The first day i got the maxx, i was running it at a family gathering and it grabed the front tire at almost full speed and ripped the front driveshaft out.... then a couple days after that, i just converted it to 2wd and kept on running it.

Ok I dont think the point of this thread was to promote animal cruelty.

Whoever goes on about rape and murder and what not, I suggest you look at you criminal justice texts again. Ingrades who murder and fataly torture small animals sometimes become grown up murders and rapists. I agree the kid who runs his car into his pets face is a jerk. But I doubt he's a baby raping, granny murdering, plane crashing, terrorist. He's just a jerk

Generally people who play with their pets with RC cars generally just get scratched paintjobs and dead batteries.

Dont be so knee-jerk reactoinary. Its really not nessassary.

I'm not cruel or anything towards my Shih-Tzu. She runs from the vaccum cleaner. But barks like h*ll if something is wrong or amissed. Strange thing is that she will chase cats but if that cat doesn't move, she turns chicken and comes whepping back towards me. With my R/C cars, she was sniffing it, unitl it moved. Ever since then, she hides under whatever she can, including rugs. And I don't even chase her with it. All I have to do is bring out the transmitter and already she trying to hide. Shih-Tzu = Lion in chinese, some lion. But that rabbit in the backyard gives her a chase for her life, yes the rabbit chases her not the other way around.

I dont chase my pets with my RC's, even with local wildlife. For fun though, I let my friend's dog chase my nitro sedan or my truck. He doesnt intend to tear it up but rather pounce on it like a cat. One time, back in the city, I had an encounter with a stray dog who didnt like my NEO and kept running after it. I had to pack up my tools in the back, toss it inside the apt building, drive my NEO the front door, pick it up (engine still running), run inside, and lock the door. Finally managed to turn the car off too. The dog stayed outside scratching at the metal door and barking loudly for 5mins before walking away. I didnt venture back out till 30mins later just to make sure he was gone. :D

he he he. What gets my dog going is the sound of the servo. whin whin and she runs for high ground. In doors she is no match for the car. she will bark at it until I put it away, and when I am outside she will chase it for a while then give up. I don't think she knows it is an inatamite object.

I love my dog she is the best. German Sheppard, Lab, and husky.

I've got two rat terriors. One of them is scared of everything so I don't even try and play with her. She runs if you have a plastic bag! But her brother loves to try and play. My wife got me a Minit For christmas, you'd have thought it was for him! We had so much fun with him. All it really took was wiggling the front tires and he'd hunch down like he's going to attack. move it and he'd turn and run and stop turn around and attack. He picked it up by the front tire once. Too fun. But Like was said earlier, if your pet is scared of it, don't terrorize it. That's just crule.

My dog(Amani, a Australian Shephard and Black Lab mix) HATES my Inferno MP-5, but in a good way. When it still ran, she would tear around the backyard after it,and would still keep up with it even if I had the throttle wide open. She would get into suck a manic frenzy that she would be practically foaming at the mouth when she finished chasing it(she either caught it, or just gave up after running into something).

She also likes to pounce on my MicroSizer.I am amazed that it still runs after having a 50-60 pound dog drive both pawn directly onto the top of it.

I can't wait to see what she does after I pick up my Mini-T(possibly tomorrow afternoon:D)

i use my mini-t for chasing kittys

earlier 2day i was running my CEN MT2 and tigger (she came with the house)jumped infront of it during a pitstop i eased it forward and gently tapped her she merely jumped away about 5 ft while i spun out next time i saw her she was on the tailgate stalking the truck but i think she knew it was too fast for her to catch and her best chance was to wait and pounce during a pitstop

now the second cat that jumped out infront of it is called moose because he feels like 16lbs even tho he is 11lbs he was looking 4 a place to pee as luck would have it my brakes were working unusually well 2day and i was on my paved driveway well here i come blasting up at 20 somthin mph and he walks out from under my 1:1 pickup and right in the path i got my rc truck sideways avoiding him and it scared him a lil because he ran off to my shed 20-30ft away and took a piss on one side of a plywood board with an icy patch on it i was doin burnouts and donuts on i let him take his piss and slowly chased him back this way so he was out of danger he dont like the truck one day in the early fall i was driving the truck and he was out there i had this very same board with one end on a bmx ramp and the other end on the ground when it fired he went running and hid under the ramp till it ran outta gas when its not running i can put it on him and he would just lay there and purr but the second it starts he takes off like a bat outta hell and finds a hiding spot i can even turn on the radio gear he dont care untill that engine fires i can even give it a yank without the glo starter on it he just pins his ears and keeps on purring if i turn my mini-t on he will get up and stroll away onto my bed he aint all that bright as he purrs most of the time he could care less what i do with my MT2 as long as it aint running my old doggy hates any rc i drive but she usually is inside when i start my MT2 and i dont want her outside when its running because she cant get out of the way in time and my brakes will sometimes lose effectiveness without tapping the ajustments between fuel bottles sometimes it can barely stop other times like 2day it does stoppies and brake slides

Whenever people are walking their dogs down my street while I'm driving my RCs, I always bring them in off the road. I've had to deal with too many owners losing control of their dogs and coming after my cars. It kinda funny to see people either being yanked by their dogs or running after them because they got loose. After the owners regain control of their dogs, they sometimes start yelling at me. I've had people curse at me, threaten to sue, threaten police action, and try to start a fight. I don't get it because it's not like I drive my car near their dog and start doing donuts. I usually drive away from them or onto someone's lawn.

I can proudly say that a dog has never caught one of my vehicles. One time a dog almost got my Emaxx though. I was driving on my lawn when this german shepherd broke loose from his owner and started coming after my truck. I have a large tree in my front lawn. I drove my emaxx toward the tree and turned sharply to the left to avoid hitting it. The dog tried to turn sharply too and lost his footing. The poor dog smacked headfirst into the tree. The dog staggered to his feet and stumbled back to his owner. This woman, his owner, was quite upset. She starts yelling at me and screaming about animal cruelty. Her dog was so out of it, he lifted up his leg and urinated on her leg. I burst out laughing. The lady was so embarassed she yanked her still dizzy dog off my property and dragged him down the street. I haven't seen her walking her dog down my street since.

I try to avoid dogs while running my cars. Dogs and RC don't mix.

nitro shes not as friendly with, she doesnt just chance it, it makes noise so it must be evil to her, so she tries to kill it lol she has to be in the house if anything nitro is running or even the lawnmower, she pops lil kids bike tires going down the street all the time not that shes trying to hurt anyone but shes a border collie and herding is her business lol

hell man, people and RC dont mix. I've had a lady threaten to sue just because I was running my touring car in an empty parking lot. She said was "little bastards like" me (I'm 22, 6'2, 260...who you calling little? I think) that are ruining the community.

I was in an empty parking lot, no one around, no pets involved. Just trying to drive in a circle and not break anything (no small feat with a duratrax street force by the way) This lady made it a point to drive up off the road (100 yards away!) to yell at me...

At the fish store where I get the food, they have this remote control sub for 30 bucks canadian but theres not enough water to put it in. Maybe I will get fish if my newts die and terrorize them:p . My Siberian Husky hates my RC cars. I tried to chase him with my Stampede once, and he ended up picking it up and running off with it. I haven't tried to see how he'd react to my E-Maxx yet.

Our 3 cats however are terrified of all of my RC cars.
