Electronic fuel injection for an rc car, seems too good to be true.

like you said seems too good to be true. I also dontn thinkn i will spend $160 for something that noone knows if it works and if you gain anything! Maybe in the future when the price comes down more and people have it in ntheir cars to give us feedback! Kinda seems like the Supercharger from RD Logistics.

don't forget to add those silly nitrous kits to that list!

That thing actually works but is very old. Some guy on the rctech forums had one and said it gives him much longer run times due to the efficency. Unlike the nitrus kit it makes sense. You attach your fuel line to the fuel line attached to the black piece and open your needles a turn or 2. The thing monitors servo action and regulates the amount of fuel released to the engine depending on how far open the carb is. You have to set it up yourself, but Im pretty sure it works. I can't see why nothing new like this has come out. Imagine if they made somthing the monitors the rpm of the flywheel and engine temperature and adjusts the mixture depending on that.
Oh btw as you can see from the description, its not real fuel injection.

i recall seeing ads in RCCA for RC fuel pumps. Ill look at a mag in a while to get a issue and page numbers.

what i think qould be really nice is a magneto igniton system for theese things..that would make us capapble of running actual fuel(we would just have to mix it like you do with a weewacker) in it. But the machinery/magnets would have to be very precision made. And i dont think that a magnet that small would give the plug enough power to make a spark

yeah thats what i was thinking, it more just more like a fuel regulator.

Thats why they have resonator coils. ( mind spelling:) )

yes but the amperage behind those sparks is amazing due to the fact that it has to "jump" a gap..it would be cool though

it doesn't have a brand name on it.

looks like all it is, is a fuel pump/regulator. not worth the money.

I think its worth the money, do you understand what it does. It tunes the engine for you! It also gives the engine the optimum amount of fuel for the rpm which your engine is at by monitoring servo motion. So your engine will probably have more power and longer run times while running at cool temps, that is if it works correctly. Id pick one up if it was a newer model and other people were using it.
