anybody have any comments on this plane, i'm looking for something to fly in a school yard behind my house. the equipment i want to use in it are Futaba 133 servos and for reciever a Futaba fp-148dp, his is a full size 8 channel reciever but is quite small at 2.125X1x.9 . to those who have built it how much room is inside the plane. also do you recomend going with the Wes-tec motor/gearbox, or something else, what do you guys use? i was looking at the great planes tutor but i have built a Herr plane before and REALLY like the lazer cutting. i get a smaller reciever but for now have to use what i have as you can tell i'm just getting started with park flyers but am looking forward to having fun flying these little airplanes
thanks for your time

I'm right in the middle of building the StarLite and it looks like it will have a final weight (with motor and battery pack)of about 6.5 ozs. I plan to use the same motor combination as that used in the LiteStick. The kit is of very good quality but you have to be careful with the parts as they are very delicate. I hope to have it flying soon.

I built my Starlite last winter and had a very nice season flying it. I used the Skyhooks and Rigging RX72-HYBRID receiver with Speed Controller and the WES-Technik MSYS-524 drive system. I'm very pleased with the performance.

Daren - The October 2000 issue of RCM has a product review of the Star Lite. Good info. I plan to build one later. Regards,
