Last night, i finally got my t-maxx .15 ready to go. Got my ez start on, then started it. It has new clutch shoes w/o the spring b/c for some reason it was to big to fit w/ the spring. Anyway, we got it started, but it was kinda grabby, so we picked it up then it died. We finally got it started for awhile, then i gave it some throtle and it died. a few (like 30 sec) sec later, i hear a loud POP and i thought it was the drive shaft. I checkd and it wasnt, then we started it again and the engine went CRAZY... i had NO throtle with my carb CLOSED! and the thing still went crazy, so i moved my foot infront of it to see if it would go, nope. It wouldnt move. So i took the tranny apart to see if it was in there, nothing. What is my prob? Air leak in the engine?

well... make sure your clutch isnt broken, and all the screws around the engine are tightened
also make sure your carb isnt broken, check the seals on it

take off your air filter and make sure your cabr is actually closed and you dont just have a problem with your linkages... also, youll be lucky if your engine ever idles well w/o that clutch spring... also, thats a constant neverending load on your engine and itll never cool donw as well as it should at idle...

What do you mean "no spring" on the ckutch shoes? You NEED that spring, if you have no soring at all on the clutch shoes there is your problem.

the springs are rather important, but check also your mix settings, cause it maybe off

I'll go out on a limb here and take a wild guess at diagnosing your problem.
The very first thing I would do is take the clutch bell off and take a look at what happened.
running your engine without the spring on the clutch shoes will allow the shoes to engage the clutch contantly. More then that, inconsistantly meaning that one or two of the shoes will engage the clutch while the other or others do not as the shoes are allowed to flop around while the engine is running.
I'll bet the loud "pop" you heard was the clutch grabbing one of the shoes and either breaking it or bending it backwards.
Your engine going wild was caused by the clutch being engaged from the stuck shoe.
